STEPHEN HENRY
FINE ART

“A Heart in Texas,
a Soul in the Mountains”
The Art of Stephen Henry
Stephen Henry is an artist and art educator. He was born in North Texas, and after serving in the US Army, he graduated from Midwestern State University with a BFA. He is now a veteran of 26 years in the classroom, teaching both youth and adults alike.
Stephen continues to help many people realize and nurture their artistic endeavors and refine their own creations. However, his personal journey in the creative world has continued to progress. He has participated in dozens of gallery exhibitions across the United States, including solo shows. Stephen has been recognized with numerous accolades, including several “Best of Show” awards. Most of the latter awards—over 40, in fact—have come from competing in his favorite venue: plein air painting.
Plein air has become an intricate aspect of Stephen’s creativity. It is where he finds solace, inspiration, and answers to artistic problems. The works in his studio are the offspring of painting in the open air. He can often be found chasing the light of an outdoor scene, forever seeking to lose himself in the painted world of his creations…
